🔥Brief Biography

Kracktwist Lamina (born May 31, 1991) is a Sierra Leonean artist and musician celebrated for his lyrical depth, cultural influence, and dedication to the country’s music scene. A proud member of the Madingo tribe and a devout Muslim, his upbringing in a religious household continues to shape his worldview and artistic expression.  He began his education at Lucins Primary School before moving on to Prince of Wales Secondary School. Later, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with Honors from Njala University. Despite his strong academic background, Kracktwist’s passion for music and creativity has always been at the forefront of his journey.

Since his emergence in 2011, Kracktwist has been recognized as one of Sierra Leone’s best rappers, once signed under KME and consistently delivering music that resonates with both local and international audiences. His earlier project in 2023, 46 Beach Road Lumley (The EP), gained wide attention for its originality and cultural richness. The EP featured the smash hit Na Net, a track so popular that its catchy phrase — ‘Salone sweet but Na Net’ — quickly became a street anthem and everyday quote across Sierra Leone.”  In late 2024, he released Figures of Speech (The EP), which went on to accumulate significant streams and featured standout tracks such as “Proud” featuring Drizilik,  'Figure of Speech' and 'Fix Ya'.  Building on that momentum, in 2025 Kracktwist curated The Republicans EP, a compilation designed to highlight emerging talent across Sierra Leone, giving young artists a platform to shine; at the same time re-uniting with Samza on the same track called 'Dem Wish'. This was pleasing for his fans and also accumulated many streams.

Currently, he is preparing to release his most anticipated body of work yet, Auntie Kadie (The EP). This upcoming project blends sharp lyricism, authentic storytelling, and the signature style that has defined his artistry for over a decade.   Beyond music, Kracktwist is also the founder of the Wasasie Foundation, an initiative dedicated to community development and social causes in Sierra Leone, reflecting his commitment to giving back and uplifting others.  With a catalogue that continues to grow and a vision that extends beyond himself, Kracktwist Lamina stands as a pillar of Sierra Leonean rap and a cultural ambassador for the next generation.  "From the streets of Sierra Leone to the stage of the world, I turn struggle into sound, and paint into poetry. My voice ain’t just music, it’s a movement."
